Another step towards my dream....
This trip is quite a sudden decision. As i'm still in the middle of my semester and there are hell lot of assignments needed to be accomplish plus it's all year 2 subjects . Honestly, at first i am doubt about my decision. But no regrets after all ............
I went with a tour .... me alone with another 28 aquintances + 1 tour guide . Kinda excited !
What's in Vietnam?! Yea, it was this curiosity that drew me there. This trip is to souhern part of Vietnam ..... Saigon , Ho Chi Minh, Cu Chi, Vung Tau and bla bla.....
Coclusion of my trip : weather, HOT,HOT,HOT + traffic TERRIBLE,TERRIBLE,TERRIBLE ..... but
FUN,FUN, FUN
All i can see on the roads are MOTORBIKESSSSSS ..... man, traffic in Vietnam is terrible. We were told that there are thousands of road in southern Vietnam but only a few hundreds with traffic lights. Imagine KL without traffic lights ! And, i guess if these drivers get to Singapore they will kena culture shock - drivers in Vietnam just like to HON ! They will hon whenever they go .
OMG.... look at the wires !
Lots of historical place left behind though ....... Notre Dame Cathedral- very old church in the centre of Ho Chi Minh city. Beside the church is another historical building left by French, once the general post office of Vietnam.
once a palace ......
We visited lots of old temple (which is BORING ) !
And of course, people like me who just like to EAT ..... FOOOOOOD ! I expect something more extraordinary but.... am dissapointed ! As i am with the tour, most of the time we went to high end restaurants which serve ordinary food , nothing different from Malaysia. Except only a few dishes such as Vietnam steamboat - all seafood even lala also, but i enjoy the freshie prawns and fish ! The soup are sweeeeeet !
Drooling? Am still......
Had the steamboat on-board ! It's a some sort of boat restaurant or can i say a moving restaurant, on the river of Saigon. So you can have your dinner while your eyes buzying enjoying the Saigon river bank view.
I thought i am in Vietnam?! Lotsa French loaves in Vietnam ! French left this behind too .....
Dinosaur egg ..... they called it ! It's actually a kind of tradisional kuih. Taste sweet and yummy!
Waitress demonstrating how to made Banh Trang. A kind of fish meal. Where fish meat, mee, cucumber and pineapples are wrapped in a paper like wrapper which is made by rice.
Ugly fish ... but sedap! Ta da~ ready to eat !
Ok.... can't miss this ! Coffee is famous in Vietnam. Though i am not a coffee - addict, but when people say something is nice, i have gotta try. Not bad ! It's called the ' dripping coffee'. There's a method drinking coffee there. The coffee powder is apply onto an apparatus, poured hot water and then wait for it to drip.
Another can't miss food.... Vietnam beef noodle! Delicious..... i had it every morning during the trip .
The story behind a women .......
Well, travelling alone - although with a group of people, good experience for me though! But ..... i have got hard time though .....
Part of the pics are like this ...... blurred! Next time i will get a profesional companion!
Camwhoring all the time..... even when i was eating my banana split alone in hotel's cafe .....
HAhahHAhHAhhHAHha........

Pancakes
Just saw your message on my c box. Haha.... i myself did not cook pancake for a long time too! Kinda forget how to make it! But i get one for you from the internet. The recipe roughly the same, just difference by a few ingredients but i guess the taste will be just the same or this one might be tastier :D ! Give it a try then tell me the result !
Recipe for pancakes serves 4
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour, stirred or sifted before measuring
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 1/2 cups milk
2 tablespoons melted butter
Preparation:
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, combine egg and milk; add to flour mixture, stirring only until smooth. Blend in melted butter. Cook on a hot, greased griddle/ cooking pan, using about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake ( don't make it too thick , the thinner the crispier) . Cook until brown on one side and around edge; turn and brown the other side.
