Ain't shopaholic ?!

Weeeeee...... Summer Escapade Fashion Show will be just around the corner. Preparation is still in progress. We are left with putting on the stage's backdrop, some printing stuff, a few decisions to be made and getting clothes from the sponsors' boutiques.

It was fun being part of it. Being part of a fashion showcase is always in my life-to-do-checklist. I'm fulfilling it!

Thursday,
went with the lecturer-in-charge to one of our sponsors' boutique to collect garments.

The most happiest part is when you can just grabbed any pretty garments without looking at the price tag! Duh~i did not have to pay for it..... :p

The most funniest part .... i would say the progress of choosing garments. It was hard though to choose limited garments from the unlimited bunch of garments in the boutique. Have you ever watch 'Devils Wear Prada' ? Okay, let me put it this way....what happen if someone chose the wrong garments for the runway ...... Meryl Streep will twist her lips. Don't have to guess.....it happened to me! When i saw the lecturer twisted her lips, i automatically nodded my head so low and pulled myself away.

The most tiring part.... imagine if you have been choosing the garments for 3 hours in the same boutique and twisting your brain to choose the correct garments so you will not get the twisted lips. I get dizzy and eventually the world around me started to turn upside-down.


Watch 'Shopaholic'? I guess every girl dreamt of being a shopaholic with infinity amount of money to spend.
But... i never thought of being a shopaholic could be so tiring somehow....

A day with hot air balloon

Was sick but do not want to miss out the hot air balloon in Putrajaya.
The weather was as hot as the balloons ..... :P

16 balloons all together, if im not mistaken. Balloons from Switz, Germany, Japan etc.
Balloons were so cute, so colorful, variety designs and so huge.

I love balloons because they fly :P

Had a photo shooting for my design n layout magazine cover page . Angela found a creepy abandoned house in PJ. We went all the way there for the photoes n feeding the mosquitos there!

Dumb people , dumb luck..... it's me!

There's one chinese proverb saying " dumb people sometimes will get dumb luck".... XD

Today after my last paper....it's raining! So wet n so moody.....man, should go enjoy la. In stead me n my housemate just stayed at home 'dumbly' . Until 4pm when rain stopped, we decided to go somewhere but dont know where. So we went to LRT n see where the train will take us. At last....Sungei Wang! We just went lepaking around since we have no mission for shopping. It was until we went into Mell. The shopkeeper was so kind that she gave us an invitation to join the Spring Summer Fashion Showcase Gala Show which should be start at 8pm at the concourse of Sungei Wang. Better than doing nothing , so we decided to grab something to eat then join the showcase.

* Invitation....nice design !

We have no idea how will the showcase be . We dumbly walk into the particular restricted area for the event where only those with invitation can enter. ... it's called VIP i guess .....man, we have the invitation, meaning....were we VIP?! The moment we walk into the party of crowd.... duh~ , it definitely looks great ... because we were VIP ma! It was so until my friend found something was wrong with the crowd. How wrong ? .......hmm, they were all prettily dressed, handsomely dressed, some models, some designers-like people, n maybe some journalists from super fame magazines n a few artists ........ great, i think there was somethin wrong with us not them! Me n my friend without another word dashed out of the place. Please la, I am still in my exam-looking clothes ! ..... ok, ugly duckling among beuties i will be ! Then me n my friend rather stood outside of the ' VIP ' zone for the rest of the show.

* Very great show i can say....great crowd as well.... spot any of your fav designer inside?

* The showcase....pics not nice ....why? because took from outside la! Lots of designer's piece has been shown, such as Melinda Looi's, Carven Ong's , Michael Ong's, Donna Chew's , Key Ng's , Khoon Hooi's ......bla bla

* Very nice stage design......hehe, took after the show !

Man, dumb rite? So much people will wish to get the invitation, staying in the great crowd, enjoying the wonderful showcase........ yea, we were dumb enough you can say!

Haha...dumb people , dumb luck ! However we manage to grab some pics n enjoy the show from outside ! XD

Today I’ve attend a half day workshop- Advertising Unplugged organized by 95% The Advertising Academy.

It’s actually an advertising workshop where 180 students from colleges and universities all over KL come together and learn . We were separated into a few groups and were given a product for us to create our advertisement. Organizer has arranged 6 Malaysia’s top Creative Directors such as Mr.Ronad Ng from BBDO and Mr. Jeff Orr from Grey Worlwide ,to guide us in group .We were asked to imagined ourselves working under these Creative Directors .Our work were judged and the winner group will be joining the grand finalist at Kancil Advertisement Award Night. I guess most of the students there aimed to be the winner group, so that you will become the outstanding one or might grab attention from the Directors for your future job. But for me……at first I thought it‘ll be some sort of advertisement forum instead of all this. Oh shit, I’m so dead! Basically I know nothing about ads,I’m just a first semester student! These were all my first thought when I knew the whole thing. Most of the students were either much more senior than me or were majoring in this field. It’s a little tension working with them at first, luckily I managed to. I had a wonderful time of fun learning.I guess it worth RM 85 for this workshop .They will be having Advertising Unplugged every year.For those who are interested to challenge yourself in advertising get more info on www.kancilawards.com .
