Manalah ku afford.....

Have not grab my morning paper yet. But guess will the issue of increasing fuel price become the main page headline?!

Yesterday after my Japanese language class, me and my fellow friends got stuck in the traffic jam for 2 hours. Usual lar, KL ma! But yesterday was a bit extraordinary because only jam when it is near to petrol stations.

All the petrol station are fully booked! This is the day when we can see how Malaysian are so 'alert' and ' supportive' ..... only when it is concerning about MONEY ! Everyone is queuing up for the petrol even for the few litter that they can fill . Walau, few litter only oso money ma! 1 litter increase RM0.80 , if 5 litter already RM4 lor. I can eat 1 plate of chow kueh tiaow already ler.... - this is when my friend used the word..... 'kiasu'.

All the while Malaysian is actually quite blessed because the government subsidized quite a huge amount for the fuel price, unlike others country. Due to some reason the government have to withdraw the subsidy. As it was reported that assuming that one day if Malaysia is no longer a country which export or produce fuel - fuel is a kind of mineral where one day it will be used up, where do we get the money to cover up the subsidy of the fuel - I guess the government use the profit of exporting fuel to cover up the subsidy of fuel. Hence the government have to withdraw the subsidy and keep the money for the rainy day.

Last time when my visit to a forum, they were discussing on this issue. I was shocked as well to know that the fuel price will increase. One of the speaker said that government will withdraw the subsidy bit by bit. However i do not expect it to happened so sudden. I guess most of the Malaysian have not prepared for it.

Yea, of course chios arouse , some even condemn the government. But do these people know the fact?!

Questions : Is the action of withdrawing the subsidy too rushed ? Or should it be done earlier ? Will it better so people will become more independent instead of relying too much to the government ?

Now Malaysian should think of getting a ride in public transport instead of driving.
Guess my plan to get a car was crushed by yesterday !
